What's your vision for australia's future?

2017 is our chance to write the next chapter of Australia's Story.

This year, our leaders are creating a ten-year plan for Australia's participation in the global community. It's called the Foreign Policy White Paper, and it covers important issues like trade, humanitarian aid, climate change, defence and refugees.

The need for the world to work together to address shared challenges has never been more urgent.
With out world facing crises of conflict and migration, climate change and poverty, Australia can and must do more to support the global community. Our government is calling on people across the country to contribute their views to the White Paper. A flood of contributions from young people will prove that the issues we care about must be prioritised.

Now's our chance to show Australia's leaders our vision for fair and generous global citizenship.
So let's pick up our pens and plan a fairer, stronger Australia. How will you shape our future?

have your say

We are young people leading a movement to end poverty. For us, change starts with a simple belief – that poverty is unacceptable, and we can end it within our lifetime. We work with communities and decision-makers to campaign for change, lobbying for policies that support equality and human rights worldwide. Our Collective Voice campaign calls on all young Australians to make their views heard, and author a future we can be proud of.

Who is the campaign for australian aid?

The Campaign for Australian Aid is Oaktree's partner in this campaign. It's a joint initiative of the Make Poverty History and Micah Australia coalitions – for all Australians who believe we can and should do more as a nation to end extreme poverty around the world. We engage directly with decision makers, promote understanding and pride in our contribution to ending global poverty, and are building a grassroots movement of Australians who believe we can and should do more to help build a better, fairer future for all.
